The value of the learners' class, conducted by the Bandmaster, Mr. R. D. Lee, was the subject of comment at the annual meeting of the Municipal Band last evening. Not only did this class enable the vacancies caused by transfers from the town to be filled, but the young men were given a musical education that might in the future stand them in good stead.
