HOCKEY IN TE KUITI
PROJECT TEMPORARILY ABAN-
DONED
At the last meeting of the KingCountry Hockey Association Management Committee, the chairman, Mr. E. C. Smith, reported that the Waikato Association had been in communication with him, with a view to calling a conference of all Hockey Associations south of Auckland to Taihape at the end of the season, when the question of boundaries might be opened, and possibly assistance given in the attempt to establish hockey at Te Kuiti. The feeling of the meeting was that, under the circumstances, it would be better to postpone further activities as regards Otorohanga and Te Kuiti. It was resolved that the King Country Hockey Association write to Otorohanga and inform them that the time is not opportune for proceeding with games at Te Kuiti. The chairman reported that, owing to some of the Otorohanga team being engaged, the exhibition game at Te Kuiti had been postponed.
