PAINTER ACQUITTED
INDECENT ASSAULT CHARGES. After a retirement of less than three-quarters of an hour on Wednesday afternoon the jury returned a verdict of not guilty on all counts in the case in which Boccassini- Corrado, aged 63, a painter, of Waimiha, faced six charges of indecent assault and unlawful carnal knowledge, against girls under the age of 16 years, before Mr. Justice Johnston in the Supreme Court, Hamilton.
The case for the Crown was conducted by Mr. H. T. Gillies and associated with him was Mr. J. R. FitzGerald. Mr. J. F. Strang appeared for Corrado.
