RECRUITING WEEK
COMMENCING ON MONDAY. PROVIDING TE KUITI QUOTA. BOOTH TO BE OPENED. The Recruiting Week which has been arranged as the result of His Worship the Mayor's appeal, will commence- on Monday next, July 24, and will continue during the week. It is confidently anticipated that all the physically fit young men of Te Kuiti between the ages of 18 and 32 years will readily respond, and so bring the Te Kuiti quota of the Waikato Regiment up to full strength. Captain Pilcher, the District Recruiting Officer, addressed a meeting of the recruiting committees on Tuesday night, when he stressed the great urgency for the land forces of New Zealand being brought up to full strength without delay. A recruiting booth will open in Mr. Hogan's old shop next the Post Office. at 9 a.m. on Monday, and will remain open during the week. The booth will be in charge of the Legion of Frontiersmen. Intending recruits are requested to enroll at this bootb as early as possible.
On Monday next there will be published in these colums a list of the names of all local serving territorials, and in succeeding issues will appear the names of all subsequent enrolments.
