ROVER NOTES
(By Campfire.) “Shoot, man, shoot! Bang!” No, the Rovers weren’t duck-shooting, they were just having an inside game of Soccer. No man is perfect, and neither is Sandie’s goal kicking, foi a little clatter of breaking glass proved it so. The last two meetings have been finished up by a game of Soccer, otherwise very little has been done owing to the bad state of the weather and the absence of the Rover Leader, but do we envy him down there in the cold, cold snow.. The Te Kuiti Rovers were to have attended a Rover camp in Te Awamutu, which was to have been held on 7th and Bth July, but owing to the camping site being under water the camp was postponed till a later date.
Things we would like to know:— Did you make flip-jacks, or was it a new sort of rubber you made, Ted? What were the names of the two Soccer teams?
Ted’s egg disappeared, but who was the first one to find it?
Why did Gan ride on the back of the lorry when going out to the Viaduct?
