The Secretary of State for Air, Sir Kingsley Wood, speaking at the new Rolls Royce factory at Crewe, said that except in the late stages of the Great War, Britain had never in her history made such great efforts in connection with ail' defence. Unofficial reports received in London say Field-Marshal Goering was wounded in the left arm in an attempt on his life in Berlin early last Wednesday morning.
