TE KUITI W.I.
The monthly meeting of the Te Kuiti Women's Institute was held in the Parish Hall on Tuesday last. The president, Mrs. Corin, welcomed visitors and members. Birthday posies were presented to members by the. convener of the Gardening Circle.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The proceeds of the stall held in the Winter Show were very satisfactory.
A very interesting talk was given by Dr. de Castro, which was . very much appreciated. It was decided to hold a Paddy's Market to obtain money towards Centennial Park.
The competition was wOn by Mrs. McKinnon 1, Mrs Kennett 2, and Mrs. McKinnon 3. A very tasty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Hedley, Hig'gins, Dennehy, Caterer, Clokey and Gordon.
