WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
HANGATIKI BRANCH. On Thursday afternoon the members of the Hangatiki Women's Institute had the great pleasure of a visit from Mrs. Fraser, president of the King Country Federation, who spoke interestingly on the privileges and responsibilities of membership. A very helpful demonstration on dressmaking hints was given by Mrs. Smith, all members agreeing that they had learned something of really practical value. The roll call, "Uses of Rubber Rings," brought many novel suggestions, and the appeal for recipes for "simple puddings" brought a good response.
The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Pettigrew and Home.
