BACHELORS' BALL
AT OPARURE. A thoroughly enjoyable evening was enjoyed at the Oparure Hall on Wednesday when the Oparure Bachelors' Ball, in spite of the very wet night, attracted a large crowd, including a number from as far afield as Otorohanga and Pio Pio. No pains had been spared tn ensure the success of the evening. The hall was attractively decorated with streamers, a delightful supper was served, and Les Stout's Personality Band was in good form. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss B. Pettigrew and Mr. A. Boddie.
