N.Z. AIR FORCE
THE CIVIL RESERVE. DETAILED CLASSIFICATION. Towards the end of last year applications for enrolment in the Civil Reserves of the Royal New Zealand Air Force were called for, and so ready was the response from all parts of New Zealand tht the full number of applications aimed at, 5000, were received within a few weeks, an indication of the widespread interest in the public support of the policy of building up the Air Force as a main arm of defence. Applicants were notified that they had been provisionally placed upon the reserve, pending the working out of the scheme. A general examination and first classification of applications was made and a detailed classification is now in hand, involving, in several of the sections, interviews with those who have registered.
