A farmer stood watching the golfing novice trying to hit the ball. Earth was flung in all directions and the would-be golfer's face was crimson. "My word!" he blurted, turning to the farmer, "the worms will think there's an earthquake." "I dont know," replied the farmer, a twinkle in his eye. "The worms are crafty little beggars round these parts. I guess most of 'em are hiding under the ball for safety."
