A New Zealand firm manufacturing electrical appliances has advised a New Plymouth retailer that it is unable to supply him with his order for a line of radiators this season because the raw materials necessary have been exhausted. It is concluded that this is a result of the import restrictions. "We are sorry to advise that we are at the moment out of stock of all models of radiators you require," states the letter from the manufacturers. "At the moment we are afraid that it may be impossible to supply this line this season, as we have just received advice from the factory that the raw materials so necessary in the manufacture of radiators have been exhausted and they will advise us at the end of this month as to what lines they will be able to supply. We are placing your order on file in the meantime, however, and will advise you further of the models that will be available immediately we receive .he correct information."
