A correspondent sent the following extract from a friend’s letter:
“The natives of North Zululand have come to the conclusion that the white man is, after all, a fool. Recently a telephone squad was in that dstrict and the native’s verdict was: ‘White man a fool. He puts up wire fence; the cows can walk under it.’ ”
