The first party of skilled tradesmen from England to be brought to New Zealand under arrangements made by the New Zealand Government arrived by the Rangitiki yesterday afternoon. There are 59 men in the official party, 27 carpenters, 11 bricklayers, 10 plasterers, eight painters, two electricians, and one plumber.
