FOOTBALL DANCE. On Saturday last the local Footbal! Club held a dance in the hall. In spite of rough weather, a large number were present, including visitors from Pio Pio, Te Kuiti, Awakino and Mokau. Music was supplied by Bill Jones’ Orchestra.
Among those present were: Mesdames Govenlock, green satin, Meredith, sea green crepe; M. Old, floral georgette; J. Tubman, rust satin; M. Anderson, black moire crepe; H. Docherty, blue crepe; Misses T. Jessup, black net; B. Moir, midnight blue; M. Moir, royal blue taffetas; J. Moir, sea green; L. Slines, purple velvet; N. Jackson, floral taffetas; J. Jackson, lemon crepe; A. Webb, London tan silk; J. Dempsey, blue trimmed with gold; E. Dempsey, rust satin; M. Calvert, brown net; N. Moir, London tan silk; M. Turner, floral taffetas.
Personal. Mr. A. Sole, of Wairea, is the guest of Mrs. Summers. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, Kohuatahi, are the guests of Mrs. J. C. Moss. Mr. and Mrs. P. Hansen are spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. Govenlock, New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs. E. Govenlock.
