At the great age of 45 years, a grey horse, famous in Pohangina Valley, Manawatu, as long as 40 years ago as one of the express team which carted wool between Piripiri and Ashhurst, died last week on the property of Mr. P. Hanlon, Raumai. Until he was retired three years ago, the horse had led an active life, since when he had spent his declining days in the paddock.
