STATISTICAL INFORMATION. The number of passengers carried by commercial aircraft services during the year ended March 31, 1939, was 63,381, compared with 51,556 in 1937-38, reports the Abstract of Statistics. Mail matter carried (regular services only) amounted to 316,3801 b, and freight to 196,2241 b, the corresponding figures for the previous year being 216,2381 b and 91,7031 b for mail and freight respectively.
The number of aircraft engaged in commercial aircraft services at March 31, 1939, was 17, as compared with 18 12 months earlier.
