SCOUT NOTES
Last week-end the six boys who have so far made application to attend the New Zealand Jamboree at the end of the year, pitched their tents at the Viaduct for camping experience. They intend to have many more week-ends under canvas before the Jamboree, and we hope that by then they will be expert campers. The week-end was quite a success although rain rather spoiled the Sunday, and made it very difficult to keep the fire going, to the detriment of the stews that were being cooked for Second Class Tests.
The party arrived back in town about dusk on Sunday, being quite decided on one point—to take a little less luggage on their next expedition.
