ENTRIES COME IN WELL
NEXT WEEK’S SHOW. OVER 300 FOR COMPETITIONS ALREADY. Entries for the Te Kuiti and District Winter Show are now rolling in rapidly. The success of the competitions seems assured, for already over 300 entries have been received and the number coming to hand is increasing every day. The main rush has not started in the other sections, but as was expected from the unprecedented demand this year for schedules, the number received are far ahead of those at the corresponding date last year.
Women should note that excellent prizes are being offered in the home industries section of the Show, and those who are members of the W.D.F.U. or Women’s Institutes should take special note of the special opportunities offered to them. A fact not generally known is that the handsome Sutton and Sons’ Cup, for the best swede turnip in the Show, is won outright annually, a new cup being donated each year. Arrangements are well in train for the exhibition of old and modern masters by the Auckland Society of Arts.
