MANGAPEHI NEWS

(Own Correspondent). Mrs. S. McSkimming has returned to Mangapehi after spending several weeks holiday in Dunedin. Mrs. J. Waghorn, of Kopaki, has returned home after a short holiday in Auckland and Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. Newton, of Mangapehi, have returned home after a brief visit to Taurangarere and Kiwitahi. Miss M. Buck, who has been the guest of Mrs. N. A. Davidson, of Te Kuiti, for a few days, has returned to Mangapehi. Mr. R. G. Inglis, postmaster of the Mangapehi Post Office, is away for his annual leave, and has been visiting Wellington, Palmerston North and Napier. Despite very cold weather, about thirty members of the recently formed St. John Ambulance Association in Mangapehi attended the second series of lectures given by Dr. Isaac in Te Kuiti last Tuesday evening.

Miss C. Hine, of “Greenbanks,” Te Kuiti, is the guest of Miss M. Buck, of Mangapehi, for a few days.
