MOKAUITI
SCHOOL CONCERT. A delightful entertainment was presented by the children of the Mokauiti school in the hall on the evening of the 15th inst. This annual event is always eagerly looked forward to and enjoyed by everybody. There was a very large crowd present, and for two and a half hours they listened to a real treat. No less than thirtyone items were given, and even the tiny tots gave of their very best throughout. It was very evident that the teachers (Mr. and Mrs. Melrose) had spared no pains in preparing the children for this, the kiddies’ big event, and they were accorded rounds of applause at the end of the concert.
At the conclusion of the concert the school prizes were distributed by Mr. E, Law, chairman of the Mokauiti School Committee. This was followed by a sumptuous supper and dance.
