The construction of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company's butter factory at Tirau has now been completed. The factory, which is designed on the most modern lines, has a capacity of 5000 tons and is one of the largest in the district. Cream will be received at the factory from the Tirau-Putaruru district for the first time on July 1, and the official opening ceremony will take place within a few days of that date.
