OBITUARY
MRS. S. COOMBE. The death occurred at the Te Kuiti Hospital on Sunday of Mrs. Constance Everalda Coombe, wife of Mr. S. Coombe, of Rangitoto, TetKujti. The passing of Mrs. Coombe will be deeply regretted by her wide circle of friends, and much sympathy will be extended to her family and relatives. Much of Mrs. Coombe's life was spent in the Marton district, where she was born. During the Great War she took a very active part in patriotic work, and at all times she took a keen interest in the activities of that district, these including the A. and P. Association. After her marriage she lived at Fern Flats, near Marton. She and her husband came from the Marton district to Rangitoto about 10 years ago. During her residence here Mrs. Coombe has taken a keen interest in public affairs, particularly in regard to the W.D.F.U., and she was widely known and liked. She is survived by her husband, and by a family of six—Messrs. C. S. and P. Coombe, of Te Kuiti, Mr. K. J. Coombe, of Wanganui, Miss M. Coombe and Miss Barbara Coombe, of Te Kuiti, and Mrs. Evan Cameron, also of Te Kuiti.
