EQUESTRIAN SPORTS
TO BE HELD AT TE KUITI. Much support has been promised the Te Kuiti Equestrian Sports Club at its inaugural meeting to be held on Mr. Wallace's paddock, Waitete Road, on Saturday, June 4. Competitors from all parts of the district are expected, and the success of the horse events at the recent Oparure Sports, and at the Aria, Pio Pio and Mangapehi Sports, demonstrates that much interest is being taken in equestrian meetings in this district. Events to be held include the maiden hunter, open hunter, flag race, cigarette race, open pony jump, stockmen's event, mounted Victoria Cross race, best boy or girl rider, tilting the ring, consolation jump, apple bobbing, and musical chairs for children. -Entries close on Tuesday, May 31.
