ANNUAL SALE “GLEN ANGA” HEREFORDS.

The annual sale of Glen Anga Herefords was held on Thursday at Te Anga yards. There was not a particularly large attendance but quite a representative one. Buyers displayed keen interest and with the exception of two bulls, a. complete clearance was effected at most satisfactory values. The stock this season was perhaps not yarded in quite the bloom that was apparent last year, a fact no doubt that can be accounted for by the very dry summer and the general shortage of feed. Taking all this into consideration the stock at the same time were yarded greatly to the credit of the vendors, Messrs. Tynan Bros. The Glen Anga cattle are reared under ordinary conditions on particularly steep hilly. country and despite the fact that as before mentioned the cattle were lower in condition this season they showed any amount of breed type and character. A most satisfactory average for the bulls of 27 1-3 guineas was realised, while the cows sold up to 11 gns, and 18months empty heifers to 8 guineas. Weaner calves sold at from 4 to 5 guineas.
