TO-DAY'S ELECTION
RECORD POLL EXPECTED. STEADY STREAM OF VOTERS. Keen interest is being taken in the poll to-day to select the Mayor, nine Councillors, two members of the Waitomo Electric Power Board, and a representative of the Waikato Hospital Board. The committees of the various candidates are very active and cars have been travelling continuously to and from the Council Chambers. There has been a steady stream of electors recording their votes all day, and indications are that there will be even more votes recorded this year than at last election, when a record was established.
