FARMHOUSE DESTROYED
FIRE AT MOKAUITI. AWAKENED BY FLAMES. The home of Mr. A. N. Aldridge, of Mokauiti, was competely destroyed by fire early this morning, and most of the contents were consumed. It is understood that Mr. Aldridge will be a heavy loser, as a result of the fire. The insurance on the house was £240. The occupants of the house had been away at New Plymouth and returned last night. They awakened about 3 a.m. to find their home in flames. As no fire was lit before they retired, they are unable to account for the outbreak.
