OTOROHANGA STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on their Otorohanga stock sale held on Wednesday:—ln all departments conditions were normal. There was a fair representation of butchers' cattle, with a majority of unfinished and stores yarded. There were a number of odd lots of young cattle entered as well. Realisations were about equal to this week's Frankton rates and a complete clearance resulted. The class of the medium entry of dairy cows was, generally, poorer. Consequently competition was not extra brisk, though prices were satisfactory. Heavy S.H. fat cows £7 2s 6d to £8 ss; medium do £5 15s to £6 15s; good quality Jersey cows £4 12s 6d to £5 7s 6d; medium £4 2s 6d to £4 10s; unfinished forward conditioned Jersey cows £3 5s to £4; heavy boners £2 12s 6d to £3 2s 6d; others up to £2 10s; yearling heifers up to £3 12s; medium dairy cows £5 to £6 10s; others up to £5.
Sheep.—The market was quite good, but the entry was fairly small. ' Medium fat wethers made up to 275; heavy fat ewes 23s to 26s 3d; light up to 22s 6d; 2 extra prime lambs £2 0s 6d; good quality fat lambs 22s to 245; forward up to 21s; pen of s.m. breeding ewes 29s 9d. Pigs.—The entry was fairly moderate and comprised sows, light porkers and store pigs. Bidding maintained prices about equal to those current at other centres and all sold readily. Plain class sow pigs up to £2 lis; light porkers 29s to 30s; good store pigs 19s to 245; medium 15s to 18s; slips lis to 14s; weaners up to 10s. I
