Representing an aggregate payment of £613,852, the proceeds of the second Auckland wool sale, which were distributed to growers last week, reflect the most favourable season for the last 12 years. The cheque easily surpasses the £518,750 realised by the January sale in 1928, and brngs the distribution of the two Auckland sales this season to £1,053,121, as against £935,621 for all three sales last season. The total compares with £324,081 obtained*fiom the second sale of the 1935-36 season and £439,270 for the November sale of this season.
