GERMANY'S PLANS IN EUROPE.
It has now been well established that Germany, assisted by Italy, is responsible for the holocaust in Spain. These two countries have supplied the Spanish rebels with arms, munitions, and money, and thousands of Germans and Italians are fighting against the Spanish Government troops. Without this assistance the war in Spain would have only lasted a few months with the defeat of the rebels. Yet in the face of facts that are irrefutable, both the German and Italian Governments deny that they have officially rendered assistance to the rebels. A recent report from Germany states that there is a strong feeling in the country against sending troops to Spain, and this is strong proof that the Germans fighting in Spain are not “volunteers,” but have been ordered for service. Now another and very sinister report comes from Paris that Germany is attempting to repeat the same tactics in Czechoslovakia by stirring up another revolution in that country, and is smuggling guns and munitions into Czechoslovakia. This country is a republic with a population of 13,000,000, of which 3,1000,000 are Germans. The plan of the Nazis is to make a second Spain of the country, and this is going to make the position in Europe more serious than ever. The war in Spain is not a civil war, but an international conflict, and if Germany is rash enough to extend her activities to Czechoslovakia, it may precipitate a general conflict throughout Europe. It was stated in Paris that the Nazis have made a serious miscalculation if they think that France will accept another experience of “non-intervention” in Czechoslovakia, which must be taken as a direct challenge to Germany. Czechoslovakia has a treaty with both France and Russia and if Germany continues her policy of stirring up trouble, she will find that both these countries will take more drastic measures than they did in regard to Spain.
