Dissatisfaction with the complement of the New Zealand contingent to travel to the Coronation in May was expressed at the annual reunion of the Ex-Royal Navy Men’s Association on Saturday evening. Several speakers drew attention to the fact that although returned soldiers were represented, no ex-naval men had been chosen. Mr. E. E. Corner said that it had been hardly fair to the naval men who had seen service in the Great War to exclude them from representation. The contingent should contain representatives of ail the different branches who had been on active service. It was hoped, he said, that something might yet be done to secure this right for ex-naval men. A motion asking that ex-naval men should be given a place in the contingent is to be forwarded to the authorities by the association.
