TE KUITI RAM FAIR
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their Annual Ram Fair at Te Kuiti on Monday, Bth inst. A full entry of Southdowns, English Leicesters, and Romneys were offered to a large attendance of local buyers. The Southdowns were all locally bred and showed a vast improvement in quality on recent sales. Romneys came forward from Southern breeders whilst entries, were also received from the following local breeders:—Wilfred Johnstone, Puketutu; Alderson Bros., Aria; Cecil S. Johnston, Waitomo. The demand for Southdowns was inclined to be a trifle slack and prices for these were not quite up to expectations. . Romneys, however, were in exceptionally keen demand and values were exceedingly good. Quotations: — On account Mr. 11. Rhodes, Paterangi, 1-shear Southdowns, 41 gns; ac. Mr. A.
