STAFF EFFICIENCY
BOROUGH COUNCIL REPORT. A report on the general efficiency of the outside staff was before the Borough Council last evening. This question had been discussed by the Works Committee and it had been finally decided to leave the matter over to the Council for consideration. No recommendation was made. The report was briefly discussed at the Council meeting last evening. Cr. Mackersey considered that the Works ' Committee should have some recommendation to make—the matter was not one that should be rushed into. Cr. Low moved that the report be referred back to the Works Committee. Cr. Bundle moved an amendment that the Council deal with the matter at that meeting. The amen tment was lost, and the motion to refer the report back to the Works Committee was carried.
