TAUPIRI PIG SALE. The New Zeaalnd Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on their Taupiri Pig Sale held on Monday. A capacity entry was handled. Porkers, mostly of medium weight, predominated, but baconer pigs were well represented. The usual full bench of buyers were bidding and a keen demand prevailed. Prices throughout were just about equal to ruling rates, and everything changed hands. The inquiry for stores and weaners was brisk with prices accordingly moving appreciably in favour of vendors. Heavy baconers £3 8s to £3 13s; medium £3 3s to £3 Bs, light baconers £2 15s to £3 2s; heavy porkers £2 8s to £2 14s; medium £2 2s to £2 7s 6d; light £1 17s to £2; best store pigs £1 9s to £1 lis; good store pigs £1 6s to £1 8s 6d; medium £1 3s to £1 5s 6d; slips 18s to £1 2s 6d; good weaners 14s to 17s 6d; others up to 14s. RANGARIRI STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Rangariri stock sale and sheep fair held on Monday:—A particularly large entry of cattle came forward, although a few heavy prime animals were penned, a number of pens of good conditioned beef cows and heifers were sold. Store and boner cows,were in heavy supply, while quite a large entry of young stock was offered. Bulls, too, were plentiful while a good number of mostly medium sorts of dairys were entered. Fat cattle sold very well—everything selling with a slight increase over current rates. Buyers were keen, also in the store cattle section, and these, and bulls met with a ready market at late rates. We quote:—Good quality S.H. fat cows £6 15s to £7 2s 6d; medium do, £5 10s to £6 17s 6d; heavy fat Jersey cows £5 10s to £6 10s; medium do, £4 15s to £5 7s 6d; unfinished quality £3 10s to £4 10s; heavy store conditioned cows £2 15s to £3 7s 6d; heavy boners £2 5s to £2 12s 6d; others up to £2 2s 6d; 18-mohths i.e. Jersey heifers £4 10s; do Friesian heifers £4 2s 6d; poor 18-months heifers up to £3 10s; heavy potter bulls £6 5s to £7 ss; medium £5 to £6; rough up to £4 10s. The entry of sheep consisted mainly of store lambs- and s.m. breeding ewes. Lively bidding ensued and, on the basis of late quotations, the range of values is very pleasing. With few' exceptions all sold. We quote: Forward conditioned store lambs 17s 6d to 19s; good store lambs 16s to 17s; plain 15s to 16s; inferior up to 15s; good 5-year breeding ewes up to 335; very small 2-tooth ewes 26s 8d; s.m. breeding ewes 18s to 235. '
