Mr. H. Jackson,' of the local Public Works Office, has received notice of transfer to Gisborne. The Rev. T. H. Burton, of Otorohanga, has received a call to Marton Presbyterian Church, and the matter will be finalised at the next meeting of the Waikato Presbytery. At the monthly meeting- of the Auckland Education Board yesterday, Mrs. M. E. T. McFarlane was appointed sole teacher at Kaitangaweka, and Miss E. C. Silcock assistant mistress at the Te Kuiti school. Miss W. L. McKinley, late of the Te Kuiti District High School, has been transferred to the Paeroa District High School as assistant mistress.
