“REVEILLE”
PRODUCTION OF MUSICAL REVIEW. The performers in the musical revue, “Reveille,” which is being produced in Te Kuiti, at the present time number 120. Practices have been held nightly for some time and very good progress made, so that the revue will be shown in a couple of weeks’ time. The producer is Mr. W. Lints, who during the last 20 years has produced the “Reveille” in every one of the larger centres of New Zealand. No less than 44 different attractions, features and specialties will be embodied in the programme, including 19 song successes, 10 clever sketches, and six different ballets. Press reports of the production of this show in Taihape pay special attention to the effectiveness of the 500 costumes, and the electrical effects and properties, and it is understood these are worth more than £IOOO. The opening and final scores are specially mentioned as truly brilliant stage spectacles.
