FEILDING SALE. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., re- > port on the Feilding sale held on Friday, 13th inst.:— There was a heavier entry of sheep, dairy stock and run cattle, with a fair entry of beef. All classes of fat sheep were actively competed for, the quality for the average being good. Outside interests were operating and these helped to firm the sale by 6d to Is on previous rates. Store sheep comprised hoggets of mixed quality. There were fewer (Outstanding lines penned, but the heavier entry attracted attention from Taranaki and Main Trunk and competition was well sustained and the sale can be described as a thoroughly sound one fully up to recent sales. The yarding, although the heaviest that has been seen for some time, was with few exceptions disposed of under the hammer. One particularly attractive line of wether hoggets topped the market at 23s Bd. The beef sale was a good one considering the quality which was offered, the market showing no quotable change. Run cattle were forward in heavier numbers, included in which were several lines of attractive yearling steers, which commanded much attention. There was practically a total clearance in this section, the dairy offering was slightly heavier than last week's entry, and some better quality heifers were included. For these there was a brighter tone.
