TAUMARUNUI SALE. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Taumarunui on Tuesday we yarded 206 sheep, 103 head of cattle, and 130 pigs. There was a good attendance of buyers, prices being on a par with recent sales. •We quote: Fat woolly ewes 245; medium fat wethers 245; wether hoggets 18s 6d; 2-year P.A. steers £4 19s; yearling P.A. steers £4 lis; yearling P.A. heifers £2 2s 6d; store cows £1; Jersey bulls 25s to 355; dairy cows and heifers 35s to £2 ss; weaner pigs 9s to 14s; store pigs 16s to 235; empty sows 10s to £2; Tamworth boar 2 gns. PIO PIO SALE. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Te Kuiti, report having held their usual sale at Pio Pio on the 12th inst., when a small yarding of sheep and cattle came forward. The yarding of sheep consisted, of hoggets for which there was a keen demand at increased rates. Cattle sold at late rates. Quotations: —Medium mixed sex hoggets 21s lOd; good wether hoggets 225; good dairy cows to £6 ss; late calvers to £3 ss; small heifers to £1 17s 6d. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual triweekly sale at Pio Pio on the 12th inst., when a small yarding of sheep and cattle came forward.
