Angus was visited by a friend who found him in the act of putting a ten-shilling note through a small hole in the floor. "What are you doing that for?" inquired the visitor. "Have you gone mad or turned miser?" "Neither," smiled Angus. "I dropped a shilling down there—and it was hardly worth while taking the floor up just for that."
