RESULTS OF ANNUAL TRIALS. VERY SUCCESSFUL MEETING. The Pio Pio Collie Club’s 18th annual trials were held on Mr. C. E. Jackson’s farm on the Mangaotaki Road on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Excellent support was accorded the trials—there were no less than 35 entries for the first event, 34 for the second, and 22 each for the remaining two. The weather was splendid, and the trials passed off without a hitch. Mr. H. Price, of Mohakatino, whs judge. The events resulted as follows: —

Class 1.-. —Long Head. Fraser Smith’s Glen (48%pts) .. 1 J. H. McDowell’s King Junior (46%) 2 Fraser Smith’s Highland King .. . 3 Thirty-five entries. Mr. Fraser Smith’s Cup was won by Fraser Smith’s Glen. Mrs.'Dowdall’s Cup, allotted to the best local maiden dog in Class I, was won by N. Hayman’s Glen. McDowall’s King Junior won the English china teaset presented by, tne Farmers’ Trading Company for the local dog scoring most points in Class I. Class ll.—Short Head, Drive and Yard. Fraser Smith’s Glen (58pts) .. 1 M. Waterson’s Border Mack (57) 2 Alex Sutherland’s Fly (56%) .. 3 Thirty-four entries. Fraser Smith’s Glen carried off the Silver Cup presented by the Club for the dog scoring most points in this class. Mr. R. W. Neal’s Cup, for the local dog scoring most points, was won by W. J. Trembath’s Paddy. Class 111. —Short Head andi Huntaway. F. King’s Don (45pts) 1 M. Neal’s Smoke (441) ..'.... 2 W. J. Trembath’s Nigger, and E. G. Broad’s Jack (44pts.) tie 3 Twenty-two entries. The Club’s Cup was won by F. King’s Don. The Associated Auctioneers’ Cup, presented for the best local maiden dog, was won by M. A. Neal’s Smoke. Mrs. W. H. Topp’s Cup was won by M. Neal’s Smoke.

Class IV.—Huntaway.

Fraser Smith’s Toss (421pts.) .. 1 M. Waterson’s Knight (42) .... 2 C. Rogers’ Belle (411) 3

Twenty-two entries. The Silver Tea Set presented by the Mangaotaki syndicate for the dog scoring most points in this section, was won by Fraser Smith’s Toss. The same dog and owner also won Mr. Fraser Smith’s Cup.

The Bargain Store Trophy, presented by Mr. Robertson for the'local dog scoring most points, was won by Mr. G. T. Livesey’s Nell. The Points Cup {or best local maiden dog, presented by Mr. "R. C. Armstrong, was secured by M. Neal’s Smoke.

Te Kuiti Club’s Meeting.

‘ The Te Kuiti Collie Cltib’s annual trials commenced this morning in unfavourable weather on Mr. Walker’s property. They will be continued on Friday and Saturday.
