ALL LICENSES RENEWED. PASSENGER SERVICES REVIEWED At the sitting of the No. 5 District Licensing Authority in the Te Kuiti Courthouse on Saturday last, practically all the ..requests of the applicants were met by the Authority, the principal amendments granted dealing with the scale of fares. The personnel of the Authority was Messrs. P. Thompson (chairman), J. C. Rolleslon and R. A. Wilson.

The only initial application for a license was made by C. Cox, who was granted a seasonal area license, from August to November, for the cartage of pigs within the Tangitu riding, with "the right to run by the main highway to Kopaki. 11. W. Bentley's application for renewal of his existing Waitomo-Te Kuiti license was granted. An amendment was made to the schedule of fares providing for special charges for week-end and Sunday excursions.

C. Lyford was granted a renewal of his license for the Mokauiti-Te Kuiti service, an amended schedule of fares being approved by the Authority. Permission for a return trip to Te Kuiti on Christmas Eve was granted. The renewal of his Aria-Te Kuiti license was granted W. K. Jones. A schedule of fares was approved, and he was given the right to run 10 miles past Aria to Matai, Onaio, and Mokauiti when patronage was -offering. His request to run to Te Kuiti on Christmas Eve was granted. W. B. McAdam's (Te Kuiti) Ltd. application for renewal of the Mara-kopa-Te Kuiti license was granted, with amendments to the scale of fares.

The renewal of his Te Kuiti-Waitara service license was granted N. E. Hunter, amendments to the scale of fares being allowed.
