FRANKTON STORE SHEEP SALE.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report on their weekly Frankton store sheep sale, held on Wednesday, as follows: —

A medium yarding comprised entirely of store lambs met wiith good competition and a ready clearance was effected at values 2s to 3s per head in advance of recent quotations. We quote: Forward conditioned lambs 14s 3d to 15s 9d; good store lambs 11s 6d to 14s; small do 9s 6d to 11s 3d; cull lambs 6s to 8s 6d.

OTOROHANGA SHEEP FAIR.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report on their annual Otorohanga sheep fair held on Tuesday as follows: —of the 6000 sheep yarded approximately 1000 wtere store lambs and 200 fat sheep, the balance being breeding ewes mostly aged from 4 to 5 years. The fat sheep market was keen and everything sold at very satisfactory prices in comparison with recent quotations. In the store lamb section, also, there was a lively tone to the bidding and most sold to vendors” satisfaction. The breeding ewes came forward in fair condition and throughout the day

good competition was sustained and good prices ruled. Several lines of 4 and 5-year ewes ex the Honikiwi district were outstanding sheep and

these met with an animated reception. Altogether approximately 5000 sheep were sold and a good number of the ewes included came to the Waikato.

We quote: Heavy fat wethers 22s to 24s 7d; medium, 20s 6d to 21s 6d; light, 18s 6d to 20s 6d; heavy fat ew'es, 15s to 16s 3d; 33 flock Southdown m.a. breeding ewes made 30s; 61 do, 255; 4 and 5-year ewes sold as follows:—[100 ex Honikiwi, £1 2s 8d; 50 ex do, £1 3s; 160 ex do, £1 2s 3d; 80 ex do, £1 Is lOd; 89 ex do, 20s 4d; 129 good forward 5year ewes 20s 4d; 153 medium, 19s 6d; 102 do, 21s; 62 plain, 17s 3d; 76 inferior, 14s 9d; 295 good 5-year and 6-year, 19s 8d; 115 fair 6-year, 17s; 145 5-year, 17s 9d; 144 s.m. ewes, 13s lOd; 120 do, 13s 8d; 101 do, 20s 6d (good); 66 s.m., 13s 7d; 31 small 2-tooth ewes, 19s; 62 good forward woolly lambs, 16s 2d; 77 shorn forward lambs, 14s 7d; 60 fair woolly lambs (store), 12s lOd; 239 shorn store lambs, 12s 7d; 150 good store woolly lambs 12s lid; 66 good shorn lambs 13s 4d; 66 medium do, 11s Id.

FEILDING SALE.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Feilding sale held on Wednesday 1 , when a small yarding was submitted. The attendance, although not large, was interested in lambs of all classes, and quite a good sale resulted. A few pens of ewes offered were unattractive and neglected. A very small entry of cattle came forwlard.

We quote: Woolly wether lambs, w.f., 9s; rape lambs 11s 3d to 17s 6d; shorn b.f. lambs, 10s to 13s Id; ram lambs, 6s 9d; fat b.f. 2-tooths, 23s to 24s 4d; fat b.f. ewes 20s 6d to 22s 4d; 4 and 5-year ewes, 16s 4d; b.f. 5-year stores 13s 6d; fat wethers 21s 9d; fat ]).f. wethers 24s Id; store cows, 9s; fat Hereford cowls £3 ss.
