CONDITIONS IN RUSSIA
AN INTERESTING LECTURER. TO VISIT TE KUITI. On Wednesday evening at the “Ritz,” a most interesting lecture.is promised, when Miss Natalie Crushenkova, representing the Russian Missionary Society, will speak on conditions as they exist in Russia today. It has been most difficult to learn the truth about Russia, but Miss Crushenkova lived in the country before and after the revolution, and has a first-hand knowledge of what is happening there. She speaks four languages, being formerly a lecturer of the Leningrad University. As she vividly describes the pathetic experiences tin-ought which she passed, every word carries conviction, and her hearers are deeply impressed. She sings her native songs, and pleads for her oppressed people, calling Christians to intercede on behalf of Russia.
