YOUNG MAN'S DEATH
DUE TO BLASTING ACCIDENT.
AT TARINGAMOTU
The death occurred in the Tautnarunui Public Hospital yesterday afternoon of Mr. Clifford Waite, farm labourer, aged 17 years. Deceased was a son'of Mr. Fred Waite, of Taringamotu, and received a fractured skull and other injuries when using explosives (sodium chlorate and sugar) for blasting a totara log on his father's farm on Monday morning last. An inquest was opened at the Taumarunui Courthouse this morning by Mr. A. S. Laird, District Coroner.
