The Kawhia Settler reports having received a sample of wool taken from a "double-decker" fleece of a sheep belonging- to Mr. Turner, of Awaroa. The lock is 23 3 /2Jn- long and there is apparently no flaw in the staple from butt to tip. The fleece weighed 261 b. when shorn and was taken from a six-tooth ewe of Romney-Lincoln cross.
