Mr. J. R. Wink will be relieving at the Magistrate's Court during the coming fortnight. At yesterday r s meeting of the Waitomo County Council Cr. C. K. Wilson was appointed deputy-chairman of the Council. Mr. J. Thomas, of the Public Works Department, and King Country representative footballer, has received notice of transfer to* Taumarunui. Mr. Alfred Lloyd, aged 60 years, a well-known King Country resident, while assisting with the erection of a sawmill in the Taringamotu Valley, died suddenly yesterday morning. Deceased leaves a wife. Mr. W. Beaver, a well-known Taumarunui resident, was killed yesterday afternoon at the Morningside sawmill, three miles from Te Koura station, during tree-fellir— operations, a sapling falling on him.
