COMMITTED FOR TRIAL
A SERIOUS CHARGE. At the special sitting of the Otorohanga Police Court on Monday, Thomas Mulligan, a well-known halfcaste native, was charged with a criminal offence against a young half-caste girl, at Honikiwi, on the 26th of September. After exhaustive evidence had been heard he was committed to the Hamilton Supreme Court for trial on November 15th, when accused will enter a plea of not guilty.
