BRITISH BY-ELECTION
WIN FOR LABOUR. (Press Association.—Copyright.) Received 9.25 a.m.) London, July 27. The by-election at Wednesbury, necessitated by Viscount Edman's accession to the Peerage, resulted in a win for Labour, Mr. J. Banfield obtaining 21,977 votes and Mr. R. Davis, the Conservative candidate, obtaining 18,198 votes. The retiring member was a Conservative.
