PIO PIO AND OTOROHANGA SALES The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile, Te Kuiti, report having held sales at Otorohanga and Pio Pio, when good yardings of sheep and a medium entry of cattle came forward. Sheep were disposed of freely, but cattle were hard to quit. We quote:— Otorohanga Sale.—Four-year ewes Bs, f.m. ewes 4s to 4s 9d, cull ewes (aged) 2s to 3s 2d, fat ewes 8s 3d, good conditioned lambs 9s 4d, m.s. lambs 4s 9d to 5s Bd, others 3s to 4s, fat bullocks £4, fleshy cows 22s to 28s, boney cows 15s to -18 s, others 10s to 12s 6d, 2%-year steers 24s to 325, Jersey heifer calves £1 to 255, others 15s, Bulls 30s to £3. Pigs.— Sows in pigs 30s to £2 10s, stores Us to 16s. Pio Pio Sale. 4th ewes 10s lid, s.m. ewes 3s 9d to 5s Gd, 2-th wethers 8s 6d to 9s lid, m.s. iambs 5s to 6s, wether lambs 4s to 4s 9d, 2 and 4-th and f.f.m. 7s 6d, 4-year bullocks £2 15s, fleshy cows 30s, boners 15s to £l.
