HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday, 15th inst., there was a large entry of both beef and mutton, and an exceptionally heavy yarding of pigs. Sheep: An extra heavy yarding of sheep came forward and sold under steady competition at just about equal to late rates. A heavy yarding of lambs showed an advance in price. Cattle: A heavy yarding of both ox and cow beef with prices showing a decrease on late rates, this being no doubt due to the extra large numbers. Boner cows showed a slight improvement on last week's quotations. Pigs: There was a particularly heavy yarding of fat and store pigs with baconers selling on a par with last week's sale, while porkers were slightly easier. Store pigs realised late quotations. We quote:— Prime fat wethers 13s 2d to 13s 6d; medium fat wethers lis lOd to 12s 9d; unfinished wethers 9s 8d to lis; extra prime quality fat ewes up to 10s; fat ewes 6s 9d to 7s 9d; medium ewes 5s 6d to 6s 8d; prime fat hoggets 12s 4d to 14s; light hoggets 10s to lis 6d; heavy prime lambs 13s 8d to 15s 6d; medium lis 3d to 12s 6d; light 8s to 10s 6d; prime fat steers £5 7s to £6; medium £3 15s to £5; vealers 16s to 21s; fat cows £3 5s to £3 16s; medium £2 lis to £2 19s; light 33s to £2 2s 6d; killable cows 25s to 30s; store cows 19s to 235; boners 10s to 16s; bulls 20s to £2 10s. Pigs.—Heavy baconers £2 to £2 4s; medium baconers 37s to £2; light baconers 34s to 365; heavy porkers 27s to 30s; medium 22s to 265; light and unfinished 19s to 225; stores 13s to 16s; slips 7s to 10s; weaners 2s 6d to 6s.
